Pillsbury House + Theatre and the A Walless Church creative team are seeking an inquisitive and playful actor to become part of our dynamic ensemble. A Walless Church centers on the divinity of black femme feelings, experiences, and relationships as the characters endeavor to literally create God. This role will require imagination, synergy, and poetry.
This work takes its lineage from Theatrical Jazz, a highly gestural, collaborative, and expressive form of working that Pillsbury is historically known for hosting. Accessibility is paramount to us, so we mean it as expansively as possible when we say comfort with movement is a plus. Enthusiasm and expressiveness are more essential than the parameters of your ability to move.
There is no right or wrong way to approach the material, so long as what you bring is authentically you. We look forward to engaging with your work.
Thank you for your time,
Pharaoh
