Monday, May 5 & Tuesday, May 6, 6:30-9:00 pm by appointment only.
Callbacks for The Wiz will be Wednesday, May 7.
Callbacks for Rudolph will be Monday, May 12.

For the audition, please prepare a song of one minute or less to be sung a capella, and bring a headshot & resume with you to the audition.

Costumer to Re-Imagine Joseph

Black Dirt Theater is looking for a costume designer to join our creative team in re-imagining “Joseph And the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” by mixing it with Physical Theater and the poetic dream-like aesthetic of Cirque du Soleil.

The stipend for the project is $1,200 with a budget of $1,000

Music Director/Keyboardist for MN Fringe Musical

Seeking a music director for an original musical to be performed at the 2014 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Duties will include teaching the cast the music, attending rehearsals in July and accompanying performances on the following dates and times:
Saturday, August 2 at 10:00 PM
Sunday, August 3 at 5:30 PM
Thursday August 7 at 7:00 PM
Friday August 8 at 4:00 PM
Sunday August 10 at 7:00 PM
Applicants with interest and ability in orchestration preferred.

The music director for this production will be compensated for their participation. Total and structure of compensation is negotiable.

WHO - Males of all ethnicities ages 16-45.
WHERE - Minnesota Dance Theatre studio 6B, Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts.

Currently casting singer/actors for principle roles and ensemble members. Performers of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Singers should prepare a jazz ballad. Dancers should have strong musical theater and jazz technique. Tap dancing is preferred but not required.

Fringe Auditions

Our show is a one act adaptation of Romeo and Juliet told as a memory play by Benvolio. Our vision of the show is set in a dystopian society where the city is split in half by the Montague's and the Capulet's. Our show focuses on the youngest generation of each house and how they each deal with the feud and the effect it has on them. This show will be performed as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival.
We are casting the following characters
Romeo 18-22 years old
Juliet 18-22 years old
Benvolio 22-28 years old
Tybalt 22-28 years old
Natalie(Nurse) 22-28 years old

The Workhaus Collective needs ushers for Jeannine Coulombe's show HOMEGROWN (at the Playwrights Center) directed by Ellen Fenster and starring Jennifer Blagen, Miriam Schwartz, Matthew Rein, Katherine Kupiecki, and Adelin Phelps.

You would get in to see the show free, and all we need is some front of house help before the performance begins--help sell tickets, help people find their seats. It's a small theater, so a very low key job, but it comes with lots of gratitude.
