Learn how to play with whomever and whatever is around you.
Everything counts - every movement, gesture, look or sound.
Throw caution to the wind and see what worlds open up when you push yourself beyond the boundaries of everyday life.
Each day we will engage in exercises to encourage curiosity and discovery.

Now accepting resumes for a Spring 2015 "mini tour" of a new musical inspired by Swedish-American vaudeville of the early 20th century.

Total of six performances (May 1 & 2; 8 & 9; 15 & 16) at several suburban Twin Cities venues. All within 1 hour's drive of downtown Mpls. Auditions and performances paid.

We are looking to engage the following:

Cast: 4 men and 1 woman, ages 20 to 50. Must have strong voice and wide stylistic range. Performances will not be mic'd.

Seeking Performers for a research into the connection between actor and audience

"Why Theatre?" is a research into the moment when the audience breathes with the performer, the moment that the performer's honesty contaminates the audience's imagination and the performance can take them anywhere . . . A series of simple, powerful five minute pieces, "Why Theatre?' will be performed in public spaces around the Twin Cities in July. Director Shante' Zenith is still searching for five more performers to be involved — it will be a very flexible time commitment that should be workable around fringe rehearsals and job schedules.

You would get in to see the show free, and all we need is some front of house help before the performance begins--help sell tickets, help people find their seats. It's a small theater, so a very low key job, but it comes with lots of gratitude.
