Molly Van Avery is a poet, director, performance maker, and public artist. Her work has been made in collaboration with Open Eye Figure Theater, Bedlam Theatre, and Pangea World Theatre. She is currently the Director of Naked Stages, a Jerome Fellowship for emerging performance artists at Pillsbury House Theatre, an Instructor with HECUA, and the Arts and Community Coordinator with The Cornerstone Group and Springboard for the Arts. She is a proud member of the Powderhorn neighborhood where she is Arts on Chicago/Pillsbury Art Block leader and founder of People for Poetry.
