Kander and Ebb's THE RINK

Minnetonka Theatre presents this rarely produced musical theater masterpiece from Kander and Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman). It’s the 1970s and Anna Antonelli’s roller rink is about to be demolished, until her estranged daughter returns after seven years hoping to revitalize the rink and patch things up with her mother. This touching and emotionally charged musical starred Liza Minelli and Chita Rivera on Broadway so of course it has knock-em-dead belt songs – and a thrilling final number the entire company performs on roller skates.

​With a book by Terrence McNally, this brilliant Kander and Ebb score includes “Colored Lights”, “We Can Make It”, “What Happened To The Old Days”, “All the Children In A Row”, and the roller-skating title tune, “The Rink!”
